FABULOUS FLOWERS AND PERFECT PLANTS TAKE CENTRE STAGE AT RHS MALVERN

The finest specialist nurseries from across the country will come together in spectacular style in RHS Malvern’s famous Floral Marquee at the first major RHS show of the season.

Packed into a marquee four times as long as an Olympic swimming pool, 70 award-winning nurseries will get the growing season off to a stunningly colourful start.

At the centre will sit the RHS Master Grower exhibit, featuring the multi gold-medal winning and much-loved Avon Bulbs, selected by the Royal Horticultural Society for their ethical and sustainable practices as well as their range of top quality plants.

Head of RHS Malvern Spring Festival, Diana Walton, said: “Many of our visitors head straight for the Floral Marquee as soon as they arrive. They know it’s their first chance to stock up their borders at the start of the growing season and immerse themselves within a sensory extravaganza of colour and scent.

“Following last year’s astounding success, we ran out of nursery places in record time which tells us not only how fantastic this space is for our visitors but also how successful it is for our nurseries.  The RHS shows are often the main retail opportunities for these specialist retailers so it’s wonderful to know that we’re helping support them in this way.”

MASTER GROWER

The Master Grower at RHS Malvern is Avon Bulbs, specialists in rare and unusual bulbs. Avon Bulbs has exhibited at RHS Malvern Spring Festival for 25 years and takes enormous pride in growing plants that are not readily available elsewhere.

They’ll be bringing some of the beauty of the Somerset countryside as they showcase the amazing diversity of exuberant colour, shape and textures of their spring bulbs.

Chris Ireland-Jones, owner of Avon Bulbs, said: “RHS Malvern Spring Festival has always been our favourite event of the Spring. The location is great, it is a peak time of year for bulbs, so we have plenty of excellent material to show and sell. On top of all that, the gardening hormones are coursing through our customers’ veins, so it is usually a terrifically successful show.”

Alongside veteran exhibitors, RHS Malvern Spring Festival will also welcome eight newcomers.

These include:

  • Thorncroft Clematis Ltd – clematis varieties
  • Millwood Plants – herbaceous perennials, epimedium and primulas
  • The Tiny Plant Company – alpine and rock plants, ferns
  • New Forest Hostas – hosta specialists
  • Battlesbridge Mills – herbs
  • Surreal Succulents – cacti and succulents
  • Andy’s Air Plants – air plants and bromeliads
  • Scamp’s Quality Daffodils – daffodil specialists
